May, 2012

Your Blog author won 1st place in the competition for the most original speaking based lesson plan : English File Competition

The prize is a seminar at the Oxford Teachers' Academy entitled Teaching Adults, and a stay at   Keble College in Oxford from 25th to 27th July 2012.

I wish to thank all my students for the well of ideas and inspiration and especially to the group I taught at Alfabet School whose lesson was described in the competition.
You can see the lesson plan at the web site and here is the statement of the pannel of judges:

The word of the jury

This is a very engaging lesson plan. Although based on the course book, Jasmina has used material from You Tube, the English File Website and from the students themselves. This variety of material helps to change the dynamic and pace of the lesson and allows for a range of comprehensible input and practice. The comments on the lesson show a strong ability to engage in reflective practice.
